"Scott Knowles was recently selected as a recipient of the Critical Language Scholarship. The highly competitive scholarship program accepts undergraduate and graduate school applicants throughout the U.S. in an effort to choose students who plan to utilize their language mastery in future academic or professional goals. Knowles will be studying Mandarin Chinese this summer at the Beijing Language and Culture University in Beijing, China."

The Department of Foreign Languages at Towson University announces a conference, “Forging Linguistic Identities” to be held on March 12-14, 2015 and invites proposals for papers.
Proposals are welcomed across disciplines, from scholars of languages and literatures, geography, history, psychology and sociology.
