PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Student Permit Rates

Permits must be purchased online.  All vehicles parked on campus must be registered to a valid TU permit or park at a paid meter during restricted hours.  No warnings.

  • The Virtual Permit System is currently being utilized.
  • Permits must be purchased online.  Be certain to register your vehicle(s) license plate information when you are purchasing your permit.
  • Freshmen (29 credits or less) and non-degree commuter students can purchase the "Overflow" permit via TU's parking web site.
  • Students purchasing a permit for the Spring and/or Summer semester need to purchase a prorated Annual permit the day before the student needs to park on campus.
  • Short-term permits such as monthly or weekly permits may be purchased in advance. However, weekly and monthly permits are not eligible for refunds.

**Motorcycle virtual permits must be obtained in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office. Motorcycles registered as second vehicle will be linked to the customers parking permit. Resident students are not permitted to have secondary vehicle on campus such as motorcycle.

Hybrid Permit Program

As part of Towson University's Go Green initiative, Parking and Transportation Services is offering a hybrid vehicle permit program.  Eligible faculty, staff, and students who drive hybrid vehicles can purchase an annual parking permit at half of the applicable rate. To participate, click the link below and submit the completed application to Parking and Transportation Services.

 

Graduate Assistant Permit Rates

Students must have a full-time, 20-hour graduate assistantship or two 10 hour assistantships to apply for a faculty/staff permit.  Upon verification of the graduate assistant’s status, they are eligible to purchase a faculty/staff permit at the lowest Faculty/Staff rate.  Please see rates under the Faculty/Staff section. Prorated Permit Cost and Refunds

No refunds will be processed for Annual or Spring permits after March 31st or for Fall permits after November 29th.  Rates below are estimates only.  Actual rates/refunds are based on the date the permit was purchased or cancelled with the Auxiliary Services Business Office.
