The ongoing campus construction projects often impact parking and transportation. We strive to minimize these impacts, but changes are inevitable. Please use this site to stay up to date with changes regarding access and availability of parking resources and shuttle services.
Parking
Lot 7a - Ward/West
Lot 7A is currently under construction for the next 12-18 months. Handicapped parking will be available in the Towsontown Garage.
Resident lot 7 parking is available on the roof level of the Towsontown garage as designated by posted signs.
Lot 11 & 11a Closure - Outside of Union Garage
Lots 11 & 11a will close permanently Spring 2013 to accommodate the bridge construction over Osler Drive and for reconfiguration of the road entrance to the Union garage.
Effective March 25 2013, visitor parking, Vendor parking, ZipCar spaces and the pay station will be relocated to the ground floor ramp of the Union Garage.
Effective March 25 2013, Faculty/Staff spaces from the road and ramp will be relocated to the second floor of the Union Garage.
Lot 11 will remain open until May 24 for commuter student parking only. Effective May 27 2013, commuter students will need to park in the Overflow areas located in the Towson Center lots and designated levels of the West Village garage.
Union Garage Renovations
The Union garage will undergo renovations and be closed between June and August 2013.
Those who normally park in the Union garage will need to utilize parking in other areas of the campus during this time.
Road access from Osler Drive will be unavailable after May 25, 2013.
Lot 17 - Enrollment Services - Closure
Effecitve May 27, 2013, Lot 17 in front of Enrollment Services will be permanently closed.
Faculty/Staff parking will be relocated to the second level of the West Village garage.
Handicapped parking will be relocated to the ground level of the West Village garage and the Union Garage. Please see information on ParaTransit service.
Smith Hall Renovations - Glen Drive Lower Parking
Renovations to Smith Hall will require portions of the parking area behind Smith Hall to be closed beginning on or about June 1, 2013.
Parking will continue to be available from the main entrance by Stephens Hall down to and including the parking lot outside of the Media Center.
Towson Center Lot 20
As construction to expand the Towson Center continues, Lot 20 has been closed. Upon completion of the Towson Center expansion, which is expected to be finished in 2013, what remains of Lot 20 will be reopened.
Transportation
Please review the shuttle schedules for more detailed information regarding service days and times.
Cockeysville/Timonium Route
As a result of construction associated with the bridge over Osler Drive, the shuttle stop located across from lot 11 will be relocated to the shuttle slip on Osler Drive outside of the Enrollment Building on March 25, 2013.
