Each student who participates in the commencement ceremonies is eligible to receive an initial FOUR tickets to his/her designated ceremony. The tickets have been placed on an account in your name through the e-ticketing website and will be available starting at 10 am on November 30, 2015. Access to the initial FOUR tickets will continue through December 11, 2015.
Instructions for Downloading Initial FOUR (4) Tickets:
An individual account has already been created for each of you, using your Towson University student e-mail account. You must use this e-mail address to access your tickets. The link and instructions will be available on November 30th.
Additional tickets will be made available online for each ceremony, on a first-come, first-served basis, starting at 6 pm on Monday, December 7, 2015.
All graduates can claim a maximum of 4 additional tickets at this time. This allows for an even distribution of tickets for all graduates.
Students/parents requesting additional tickets beyond 8 (or 6 for CLA in the spring) will need to provide documentation of travel arrangements to secure these extra tickets in advance (ie. travel itinerary, plane/train tickets, or hotel accommodations). The documentation should be held until the second week of December, so that they have the opportunity to first utilize the online system for their ticket needs. At this time, if they are unable to obtain the number of tickets needed, requests, along with documentation, should be directed to the Commencement Office via email (email@example.com).
All guests entering the arena will need a ticket. This includes children of all ages. Any seating that is being held/reserved in the arena must be released 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to seat other guests.
Please be advised: The sale of unused commencement tickets is strictly prohibited. Commencement tickets are allocated to each student, based on occupancy rates, and additional tickets are distributed for each college ceremony on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone found to be selling or purchasing unused commencement tickets could face academic discipline including the loss of the privilege to participate in their graduation ceremony. The tickets are university property, therefore each ticket is a "revocable license" which the university can withdrawal at any time at its sole discretion.
An index card printed with your
name, address, and e-mail address will be given to you when you arrive at the Student Robing area (Towson Center gymnasium).
If any of the information on the front of the card is incorrect, please be sure that you make changes
on the reverse of the card to ensure our records have your most current contact information.
REMINDER: Make sure to check and update your address in the Student Center at http://sa/selfservices as soon as possible to ensure your diploma is mailed to the correct address.
Programs will be distributed to participants free of charge at the ceremony. The Commencement Program recognizes each graduate, listing each degree recipient by degree, department and date.
Diplomas are not distributed during the Commencement ceremony.
