The Founders Society is the university-wide leadership recognition program for annual support. Towson University donors at the Founders Society level celebrate a legacy of leadership and enriched lives, while looking toward a future full of exciting possibilities for our students.
Gifts may support any designation at the university or be unrestricted to assist with university priorities. Members of the Founders Society are invited to special events, recognized with an honorary designation in publications and receive regular communications.
Membership in the 2014 Founders Society will be extended to donors whose qualifying gifts are received between July 1, 2013 and June 30, 2014.
The President’s Circle of the Founders Society includes donors at the highest levels of annual support, whose gifts (including matching gifts from employers) total at least $2,500.
$25,000 and above
The Benefactor’s Circle recognizes donors whose annual gifts to the university (July 1–June 30), including matching gifts from employers, total $1,000–$2,499. As with other Founders Society levels the Benefactor’s Circle was formed as a way to show the university’s appreciation for leadership gifts to Towson. The generosity of Benefactor’s Circle leaders touches virtually every aspect of the Towson experience, from scholarships to faculty development to the arts and athletics
Towson University’s Founders Society Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) recognizes current students and recent graduates (Classes 2004-2013) who support their alma mater philanthropically. When I look back on some of my professors and what they taught me, they played a large part in the way I think about the world, not to mention preparing me for the career I have. Towson University – the direct contact with the professors, the challenging environment, the friendships I formed, the whole culture of the campus – had a great effect on the person I am today. Anyone who looks back and recognizes that impact should give back to make sure that Towson continues to grow in reputation and can continue to offer those opportunities to the next generation.
