Department Receives National Recognition

The Department of Health Science is proud to report that it has received National Recognition from the American Association for Health Education for Initial Preparation of Health Educators. The program is recognized through the semester and year of Towson University’s next NCATE accreditation decision in 2014. Kudos to the Department faculty, staff, students and alumni for achieving this mark of excellence!

Speed Mentoring

The Spring Speed Mentoring Seminar was held on March 27th, 2013 in the Chesapeake Room of the University Union.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide students with mulitiple prespectives on how they present themselves in a professional manner using the speed dating model. Each student rotates among multiple interviewers, providing a brief "elevator speech" and interviewing for an entry level position. Health professional mentors provide the students with feedback regarding their body language, responsiveness, etc.
