Towson University’s Reflective Process for Diversity has initiated advancement toward an institutionalized model for diversity. The President’s Diversity Awards will recognize individuals and departments that have made efforts to foster greater awareness, understanding and advancement of diversity and inclusiveness at Towson University.
Individual Awards: four awards, $500 each.
two awards: (1) Research based, (1) General
Department Awards: two awards, $1,000 each.
The criteria for evaluation of nominations will be as follows:
Nominees have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments that have increased awareness and understanding of diversity.
Nominees have demonstrated outstanding efforts to promote the advancement of diversity and inclusiveness.
Nominees have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in support of the institutionalization of diversity.
The nomination process begins October 1, 2015 and ends January 8, 2016
