Transfer students who are interested in applying to the main Towson University campus should apply using Towson's online application.
1. How to apply.
You can apply for admission to Towson University using the online Towson University in Northeastern Maryland application.
- Create your Applyweb account.
- Complete your email verification and proceed to the application using the link provided by email.
- Click the Application for Partnership Programs.
- Log in to your new account.
- At the Application for Partnership Programs page, use "Partners" as your password and proceed with completion of your application.
2. Know the deadlines.
The final application deadline is Jan. 15 (will remain open on a space-available basis) for fall admission and Oct. 15 for spring. To be considered for merit-based scholarships offered through University Admissions, you must apply and submit your transcripts and standardized test scores (if you have earned fewer than 30 transferrable credits) by Dec. 1. 3. Pay your application fee.
A $45 non-deferrable, non-refundable fee (or fee waiver) is required with your application. You will be able to pay the application fee with a credit card or electronic check.
4. Send your transcripts.
Submit to University Admissions an official transcript from each college or university you’ve attended. If you’ve earned fewer than 30 college credits, a high school transcript is also required. Official transcripts may be sent from each of your colleges or universities directly via email to Admissions_Documents@towson.edu.
5. Write an essay.
Submitting an essay with your Towson application is required. The topic is up to you.
6. Find out if your intended major has additional requirements.
Some majors have additional requirements or screening criteria, such as auditions, prerequisite courses, supplemental applications or GPA requirements. Admission to Towson University does not guarantee entry to these majors. The following programs have additional requirements:
