Schedule regular “retreats”.

Periodically block out time in your schedule to spend time alone. Consider what you need from this time. A spiritual connection with God, Nature, or some other higher power or larger force? Time alone to reflect on your life right now and what changes/adjustments you may want to make? Or just time alone for relaxing and resting up? Let your needs dictate how much time you take, how often, and how you structure it. Even the simplest retreats can have a wonderful impact – whether 30 minutes alone in a hot bath, a couple hours at a park with your journal, 10 minutes of meditation at the start of your day, or some other brief respite from your regular routine.
