Life @ TU

Climbing WallWith more than 40 intramural and club sports at TU, you can stay in shape and have fun. Intramural leagues field teams in volleyball, soccer, flag football, indoor lacrosse, basketball, beach volleyball, tennis and softball. There are many student-run sport clubs in everything from Ultimate Frisbee to cycling to figure skating. These activities are a great way to meet new people—more than a third of TU students belong to sport clubs or intramural teams.

Towson students, faculty and staff have free access to campus recreation facilities, including a fitness center, gymnasiums, a pool and turf fields.

Starting August 2015, the campus recreation department will begin an extensive expansion to Burdick Hall that will provide the TU community with increased space for recreational activities within modern facilities. The expansion is set for completion in 2017.

When you're not playing with your intramural team, wear your stripes and cheer on the Tigers to victory in Division I competition. From football to gymnastics, there is a sport for every enthusiast. Whether in Johnny Unitas Stadium, the Towson Center, Burdick Field or on our competitors' fields, the Tiger student-athletes rely on their fans for support.
