Funding Opportunity Resources

Many resources are available to faculty, staff and students who seek research and funding opportunities. Towson University subscribes to four Web-based search engines – the Grant Resource Center (GRC), Community of Science (COS), and Illinois Researcher Information Service (IRIS), and the Grant Advisor Plus. Each engine is accessible online from faculty and staff desktops, or can be accessed through the TU Virtual Workspace. Each engine can be searched using multiple criteria, including keywords, sponsor and deadline. While they are very similar, they complement each other.

The Office of Sponsored Programs & Research can help you identify appropriate funding opportunities and conduct funding searches.

Faculty Development and Research Committee

Through various intramural programs offered annually, Towson University provides support to Towson faculty in the form of monetary research awards, summer fellowships, teaching innovation grants, and research scholarship awards.
