Research grants of up to $500 per project are awarded on a competitive basis to Towson University undergraduate students engaged in scholarly research activities under the mentorship of Towson University faculty members. Research funds may be used for supplies, books, software, equipment, and travel as appropriate to the project. Projects may be carried out over one or two semesters and should involve close collaboration of the student and faculty member.
All undergraduate students who are enrolled in a degree-seeking program at Towson University are eligible to apply. All projects must be mentored by a full-time faculty member. Students and faculty should review Faculty Mentor Responsibilities. Students are expected to have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Students with a GPA lower than 3.0, must obtain a letter of support from their faculty mentor that addresses whether the student is able to carry out the project. This letter must be emailed by the faculty mentor to the Office of Undergraduate Research, UndergradResearch@towson.edu
