Freshmen

If you are a prospective student and have not yet been admitted, please contact Towson Admissions.

If you have been admitted for Fall 2015, congratulations! Here are some next steps:

  • Follow NSP on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to stay in touch with what's happening. Be sure to use #towson2019 when you post!
  • Connect with other newly admitted students that use #towson2019 through our Tagboard site
  • Check out our optional pre-orientation programs below:

PRE-ORIENTATION PROGRAMS:

Tiger Talks and Supporting Your Tiger: Family Orientation

Tiger Talks is a great opportunity for newly admitted first-year students to learn about Towson from their peers. Students learn about meal plans, get tips from academic advisers about academics, get their OneCard, and meet new friends!

Supporting Your Tiger: Family Orientation is a new program specifically for family members who are sending their students to Towson University. Family members will hear from current students, TU staff, and Towson Family Network board members on what to expect once students move in and start their academic journey.

Registration for both programs opens April 10, 2015!

Dates and times for Tiger Talks/Supporting Your Tiger are:

SAGE (Students Achieving Goals through Education)

The SAGE Program is a signature program run by the Center for Student Diversity designed to attract, retain, and support a diverse student community at Towson University. SAGE offers entering first-generation students peer mentor support, programming designed to help students adjust to the collegiate environment, and understanding staff and allies that makes this program beneficial for all participants. Students and families can learn more about SAGE and students can apply to be a part of this coming academic year's program at the SAGE website.

Project Serve

Project Serve is a wonderful pre-orientation service project coordinated by Student Activities. Students spend three days before summer orientation doing service projects around Baltimore City and County. Students also gain teambuilding skills and have the option to live in a residential learning community through the academic year where they can also continue serving their community. Applications will be available on April 1 and can be accessed at the Project Serve website.
