Now that you’ve been on campus for a few days, it’s time to show off your Tiger school spirit! All day long there will be different events taking place to get you connected to the larger TU community. You are encouraged to take part in all activities which appeal to you.
8:00-8:45 a.m., Burdick Hall, Gym 3 This class integrates the mind, body, and spirit through postures focusing on strength, flexibility, breathing, and quieting of the mind. This introductory class is great for all levels of fitness. Equipment (mats) will be supplied. Sponsored by Campus Recreation Services
Information Tent and Personalized Campus Tours
10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., “The Beach” (grassy area outside of Cook Library) Stop by to learn about the day’s events and get directions to the locations of each activity. Bring your class schedule and an OL will provide a personalized campus tour to help you locate your classes.
Black and Gold Day
10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Campus-wide Show your tiger pride and get rewarded! OLs will be roaming campus and giving out free gear to those students that best display their school spirit. You should also take pictures of you and your friends in TU gear and upload it to the New Student Programs at Towson University Facebook page. Every hour a winning picture will be selected and announced on Facebook. You will then have 15-minutes to collect your prize at the NSP Office (University Union, Room 217).
TU PostSecret - Part III: Hey, I just met you…but call me maybe?

Your Orientation Leaders (OLs) want to make sure that your transition to Towson is going smoothly so through postcards they will provide responses back to Sunday’s anonymous postcards about your first 24 hours at TU.
Games, Giveaways, and Getting to Know the Library
10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Cook Library Stop by Cook Library to test your skills for prizes and refreshments or simply enjoy the cool air conditioning. In the library, students can participate in a QR code based “Mobile Mystery” game with a grand prize gift from the University Store. Other games and giveaways will be held outside the library. Librarians will be on hand to answer student and parent questions as well as give library tours as requested. Sponsored by Albert S. Cook Library
Baltimore Collegetown Shuttle www.baltimorecollegetown.org/shuttle Exploring Baltimore is easy and free! The Collegetown Shuttle is a free transportation service for students, staff, and faculty at seven participating schools in the Baltimore region. Simply use your college/university ID card to board the bus. On the stops page, you will a find list of places you can visit around each shuttle stop. Destinations range from restaurants to museums to your local coffee shop.
UPDATED - Back-to-School Rally
1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m., Towson Town Center Mall, 825 Dulaney Valley Road: Level 1 Grand Court. TU students are personally invited to attend Towson Town Center’s Annual Back to School Rally! There will be shopping incentives from retailers, refreshments, giveaways, and prizes. Shuttle services will be offered from Towson University to Towson Town Center every half hour beginning at 10:00 a.m. Board the shuttle bus at the bus stop on Cross Campus drive behind the University Union and board at the C1 Garage at Towson Town Center to return to campus. UPDATED - Involvement @ TU Info Sessions
1:00-4:00 p.m., University Union 2nd Floor, Potomac Lounge By this point you have probably been told several times to “get involved.” Throughout the day, we will hold sessions on the various avenues of involvement that you can participate in at Towson, as well as some specific themed presentations. Attend these sessions and begin to take your next steps to create the campus experience you want! It is our goal to show you that there is so much more to involvement at Towson beyond basic membership in student organizations (though you can and should do that too).

What better way to see your new home-away-from-home than by getting a bird’s-eye view of Towson’s campus and the neighboring areas? Weather conditions will determine when flight times occur and we hope to accommodate as many passengers as possible over a three-hour duration between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Each flight should last approximately 5-minutes.

4:00–6:00 p.m., Burdick Field and PAWS Patio Join us for food, music, performances, games, and prizes for all new and returning students! Meet some new friends, reconnect with old ones, learn about TU’s sports clubs and multicultural student organizations, all while getting some sun and kicking off the new year. 9:00-10:00 p.m., Towson Center Come celebrate the start of the school year with all Towson students as we watch some of our well-known professional staff members take on your fellow student leaders in a friendly game of volleyball. Enjoy the action, learn some cheers, and most importantly have fun. Regardless of who wins the game, we are all ONE TOWSON!
