New Student Requirements

Once admitted to one of the Occupational Therapy programs, you will need to fulfill certain requirements before the semester begins. Without these requirements completed you will not be allowed to commence coursework. The requirements for the combined BS/MS and the Professional Masters programs are listed below.

The asterisks denotes health documents that are in addition to the health form you received when you were admitted to Towson University. The Towson University documents should be returned to the Dowell Health Center whereas the Occupational Therapy documents should be returned to the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science in Enrollment Services, Room 245.

Combined BS/MS Program - Due Dates for Admission Confirmation

Please note that the Towson University health documents you received after being accepted to the university, should be returned to the Dowell Health Center by June 1, 2013

June 15 Official transcripts from any outstanding prerequisite coursework from Spring Term Melissa Egerton, Admissions Coordinator  College of Health Professions 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252
July 15 The following health documentation *

a. current health insurance; health insurance must be carried throughout the entire program (copy of insurance card front and back)

b. certification in infant ,child and adult CPR for health professionals, with renewals required every 2 years (copy of CPR card front and back). Local CPR courses

c. a completed immunization / health record/ with titers.

  1. results of a 2 step P.P.D. test, with annual documentation required
  2. Titer results required for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Hep B. TDAP( tetnus, diptheria & pertussis).
  3. Completion of at least the first two series of three Hep B vaccines or completion of the declination form for the vaccine series.

IMPORTANT - These documents must be uploaded to your Certified Background profile, by July 15, 2014.  Information regarding how to create your profile and upload documents to CertifiedBackground.com will be forethcoming.  All questions can be directed to the fieldwork secretary at hfranklin@towson.edu

  Fall schedule of classes will begin to be emailed out the week of 7/28 to students who have turned in all of the above information and it has been processed. You will NOT receive your schedule until ALL documents are submitted and processed.
