Classes starting at 6:00 p.m. or later meet on their regularly scheduled evening.

  1. Final exams for classes meeting more than once a week (such as Lecture/Labs) are held according to the published day and hour of the first meeting (the lecture portion) of a course.

For example, a class scheduled for MW 5:00-6:15 p.m. holds its final exam on Monday.

  2. Classes scheduled “off matrix” are to hold their final exams according to the regularly scheduled course times that they fall within.

For example, classes scheduled on TR with a start time of 1:00 p.m. fall within the regularly scheduled time of 12:30 - 1:45 p.m. Exams for these classes are to follow the exam schedule of courses scheduled TR 12:30 – 1:45 p.m.

Similarly, a class that meets one day a week, such as Friday with a start time of 8:00 a.m., would follow the schedule for MWF 8:00 - 8:50 a.m.

  3. If the university postpones a final exam day or time, the exams will be rescheduled for the next available FREE time period.

STUDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TAKING RESCHEDULED EXAMS.

There is no policy for the number of exams that can be given on one day.

For information regarding the rescheduled day and time, log on to the web, www.towson.edu, or call 410-704-NEWS. Announcements regarding any postponements will also be made on various local radio and TV stations
