Our Study Abroad Peer Advisors are current TU students who have already studied abroad and now work in the TU Study Abroad Office. They are eager to share stories about their time abroad and can provide first-hand advice and guidance before, during, and after your study abroad experience.
Want to work for us? Check back in Fall 2014.
All current students abroad and returning students are welcome to apply for a Peer Advisor position in our office. An email invitation will be sent in early November. For more information please contact Associate Director Kelly Holland at email@example.com.
Ask a Peer Advisor
Study Abroad Peer Advisors can help you research programs, look up classes, and give you general tips about studying and living overseas. Send them an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to ask a specific question or to make an appointment to meet with one of them. You don’t have to be interested in the country where the Peer Advisor studied in order to talk with them.
NOTE: Students who meet with a Peer Advisor are still required to attend an information session and meet with a Study Abroad Advisor.
Meet our Peer Advisors
Amy Procaccini GlobaLinks – Bond University
“I am a senior majoring in Mass Communications and minoring in EMF. I love the beach so it was only fitting that I spent a semester in Australia! I traveled up and down the east coast of Australia and went to Fiji and New Zealand while I was there. Studying abroad opened my eyes to trying anything and everything, which helped me learn a lot about myself. It’s safe to say I have officially caught the travel bug and I now spend most of my free time trying to find ways to visit new places. Studying abroad is definitely the best decision I’ve made in my college career!”
Kelly Rudolph ISA - Salamanca
"I am a senior double-majoring in Communications and Spanish. Learning the Spanish language and culture has been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school; however, nothing I learned in all my years of school can compare to my semester abroad. I wasn’t just learning while I was in Spain, I was experiencing. I finally was able to see and do things that previously I could only dream of. A word of warning: once you come back from studying abroad, you WILL want to go again! Besos!"
Sara Goldman CIEE Cape Town Service Learning
"I am a senior majoring in Family Studies and Psychology. My time abroad was absolutely incredible. Not only was I able to experience something new, but I also had the opportunity to take classes and do community service abroad. It was the opportunity of a lifetime, and I highly suggest you study abroad, too!"

“I am a senior double majoring in History and Biology and minoring in Spanish. As a student of both history and Spanish, I jumped at the chance to study in a country with a diverse population, including many Spanish speakers, and a rich history like Trinidad. The history courses I took there on India and Africa were absolutely fascinating. Waking up to palm trees and mountains was a definite bonus, too. I loved my time abroad and I hope to go back someday soon."
Matthew Lenz IFSA-Butler, City University
“I am a senior double majoring in Marketing and E-Business. I studied in London, England. I love traveling, ever since I was younger, so this was an amazing opportunity for me. It was an amazing experience, being able to learn in a new environment. I was able to travel around the UK and Europe. I highly recommend studying abroad!
